Feature Request: Save configuration dynamically

Sorry if the archives covered this; I couldn't figure out how to search
them:

I think it'd be nice if XMMS saved its configuration dynamically like
Winamp does.  It seems more intuitive that way, because the playlist and
folder history will only save on a clean exit, while if the program is
always running (like I have it), when I close my X session, it doesn't
restore 'properly'.
