Which id3v2 versions are supported?

Hello,

I would like to know which versions of id3v2 are supported by xmms at the 
moment to be read?

I am wondering because I realized problems with id3v2.4. In the playlist 
window I see just this really strange entry "aecne - ii", but in the file 
info I just see the filename like there is no ID-tag found.

My problem is that I like to use UTF-8 to encode my ID-tags, but that is only 
possible in id3v2.4. In id3v2.3 only ISO and UTF-16 are allowed.

Thanks for any comments about that topic or where I can find more about the 
supported tags of XMMS.
