sorting with Xmms-Perl

Hello,

I try to write a plugin using Xmms-Perl. But since I'm a newbie to perl
I didn't find out how to sort the Playlist. I looked in Xmms.pm and saw
many functions about sorting but didn't get them run.
for example I tried this:

perl -MXmms -e 'Xmms::Sort::random;'
Can't call method "get_playlist_files" on an undefined value at
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2/i686-linux/Xmms.pm line 685.
