There's nothing gentoo specific in that patchset... it should work just
fine on other architectures... just get 1.2.10, apply all the patches,
run autotools, and away you go.

Because of the responselessness of xmms upstream, my attention has
turned towards gcc/glibc development, but I'd be willing to help out by
consolidating patches in the gentoo patchset, and if xmms gets more
attention from others, I'll probably start working on it again, too...

Also, there is one bug in CVS that is driving me crazy that I haven't
had time to nail yet (maybe there's a fix on bugzilla, but I haven't
looked recently)... maybe someone else here might have more time to
find/fix it...  When playing wav files or an audio CD, try skipping
around in the track.  After a few tries, the scrollbar will disappear.
