Hi Harvard,

I notice you made a few changes to xmms in cvs last week. Would you
please consider merging in the patches in the Gentoo patchset[1] so we
can avoid the time-consuming merge that I have to do to incorporate new
patches. All the relevant information about the patches is in the
ChangeLog and README file, and they've been well tested. PLEASE get
these merged in. The slow pace of upstream development and apathetic
attitude you seem to exhibit towards contributors is very damaging to
the project. I've offered to help out in the past as have others.
Please incorporate these patches and allow other to help with the
project. If not, please allow me cvs access so that I can get them
merged in myself and start working through the xmms bugzilla. If that
something is not done, I believe the best thing for the project would be
a separate fork hosted on sourceforge, but I would really like to avoid
such an action.

I've mentioned a fork before on this list, and I've hoped it would not
become necessary, but I'm beginning to see this as possibly the only
option you are leaving the community.

Thanks,
Jeremy
