Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: DataPilot shows wrong date on Row field
Classification: Application
Product: Spreadsheet
Version: version58
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows Vista
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P3
Component: formatting
AssignedTo: [email protected]

The DataPilot sheet is showing the same year for items from multiple years.
I created a spreadsheet to track purchases made. My source data includes a
column for the date, vendor name, and amount of each purchase. I also created a
year column with a formula to grab the year from the date column because I
wanted to use the year as my page field in the DataPilot sheet.
Depending on the formatting of the date category in my source data, the
DataPilot sheet displays different values for the date of each purchase.
In the attached file, on the "A - Source" sheet, the first column shows the
month and day but does not show the year. The year is there, but I have chosen
not to show it here because I have a year column and it would look silly with
the year listed twice. However, on the "A - DataPilot" sheet, you will notice
that the dates for the purchases from Vendor A all show 2011, even though the
DataPilot is correctly organizing these as 2009 purchases.
On the "B - Source" sheet, the first column shows the day, month, and year, and
then the year column shows the year again. This time, the "B - DataPilot" sheet
shows the correct year of each purchase from Vendor A.
Build 2011-08-27 on Windows Vista
