Is the data source already connected at this time? I.e., is the "Tables"
node already expanded? If not, then the crash might happen upon
connecting, and not upon opening the query, which might give hints for
the reasons.
Is it only when you open the queries for data display, or also when you
try to open them for design?

Add DataAccess.xcu to this path.

Might work. However, this file contains more than the queries. If in
doubt, or if copying the complete file doesn't work, open the file in a
text editor, search for "queries", and manually copy the query strings.
