In case it's an embedded database (using the HSQLDB engine), this is in fact not possible, since it's hard to provide a good, expectation-conformant handling for the embedded data then. If it's not an embedded database, but linking to a external DB, it's still possible: "Edit|Database|Connection type" > - when displaying a database (via F4), now in order to edit > the tables, or performing a query I have to open another > window, from which I can start the procedure. This is again > less convenient than in 1.1.x Well, the idea here is that the application UI is the main entry point for database work, the data source browser is only for integrating data into the other applications. Depending on how many users insist on using the DSB as main entry point for database work, we might be forced to rethink the concept in the future :). Feel free to submit an RFE, and to get people to vote for it :) Ciao Frank -- - Frank Schönheit, Software Engineer [email protected] - - Sun Microsystems http://www.sun.com/staroffice - - OpenOffice.org Database http://dba.openoffice.org - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
