Oracle 9i and jdbc, numeric values formatted as currency

Hi,

when I connect to Oracle via JDBC (ojdbc14.jar), all numeric values in 
the table are formatted as currency. Char and Date Fields are correct 
formatted.
Is this a known bug?

The edit mode of the table tells me: Warning, no type information of 
this kind of database. Edit mode not available.

1.9.121 and WinNT SP 6
