That's exactly the problem. There are a lot of different requirements to
Base from different user/groups - much more than we can ever reasonably
fulfill. One of those requirements is MSA compatibility/migration (which
surely is a long-term task). And currently, it seems the group requiring
this is considered the most important (potential) client of OOo/Base.

Personally, I believe that concentrating on the "application creation
platform" use cases (which largely intersect with the above MSA
interop/migration use cases) would be highly worth the efforts, and
should be focused for the next release.
