Received an interesting request from a user that stores contact information in a Base document. When stored in a Write or Calc document, OOo recognizes things such as an email address and converts it to a link. You can then click on the link to automatically open say your email software. Now, if I store an email address as a field in Base, is there anyway that I can cause this to be treated as a link in a form (or similar). In a pinch, I will write a macro that is called as an event handler for a button activation that will read the email field for the current record and invoke the default email software. I would prefer to not write a macro, however. -- Andrew Pitonyak My Macro Document: http://www.pitonyak.org/AndrewMacro.odt Info: http://www.pitonyak.org/oo.php -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] For additional commands send email to [email protected] with Subject: help
