In stability of Open Office

I was glad when I came across your open office application. However now that I have used it it is very unstable. I save docs and recently presentations and the app will not open them Wrong format it says. I saved a presentation in ppt and open office will not open it. That places e in a great deal of trouble because I have to recreate.

The center window in presentation App moves all over the place and changes view size for no apparent reason.

I will be going to another program.
