I am the framework project lead and pleased that you want to join us to 
make OpenOffice.org better. OpenOffice.org is a very large project and 
the sources use many advanced C++ features. Therefore it's good that you 
want to extend your C++ knowledge. Books depend on personal preferences 
therefore recommendation are always subjective. We would recommend:
- The C++ Programming Language by Bjarne Stroustrup
- Programming: Principles and Practice Using C++ by Bjarne Stroustrup
