while i have no idea how the instetoo_native stuff works, i've just
stumbled upon the --with-vendor option in configure.
maybe it does something useful  :)

AC_ARG_WITH(vendor,
[  --with-vendor           Set vendor of the build.

                          Usage: --with-vendor="John the Builder"
