there are many duplicated strings with the same content. However the system
is under a version controll to do exactly that. The system is new and I am
still not sure how to use the versioning features. I also havent had the
need, however. I would try to ask here or the #pootle IRC channel.

I know is not a definite answer but I hope this help you target better the
search for it.
