The inaugural "Software of the Year" awards invite the public to vote for their favourite PC and mobile software. The awards include 17 categories - 12 for PC software, five for mobile apps - totalling 85 programmes. Voting will run online from 5 October until 5 November at www.softwareload.co.uk/softwareoftheyear. Official media partner of "Software of the Year 2010" in the UK is Web User magazine.
