Hi,

I'm not Eric Hoch, but I'll try to help... :-)

So the content is not what expected ?

Yes : I strongly suggest you to build mozilla stuff with mozilla 1.7.5
you'll find
<http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org//mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7.5/sources>.

Some changes have been made and the needed stuff is no more the same as
the one we used for build the packages you try to use here. I can be
wrong, but something let me think there's probably the origin of all
your problems.

Just place the .tar.gz in moz/download

using --enable-mozab and --with-mozilla-version=1.7.5 for configure

The steps :

1) just reconfigure with this options
2) bootstrap
3) source MacosxSet.Env.sh

dmake clean # you can try without, but it's less clean...
dmake

N.B. : there's a rule in the makefile for build zipfiles : dmake zip
Else, no need to rebuild every time : simple mv unxmacxp.pro
unxmacxp.pro_backup while doing dmake clean, and rename it unxmacxp.pro
just before to begin the new milestone's build will save your time.
But if you really want to save your time, simply use ccache :-)

What exactly failed ? (have you a log ?)

If I remember correctly, this patch was just intended to make mozilla
build possible on Mac OSX, and I'm not sure it's always usefull.
