Yesterday I was really able to debug OOo using XCode! It works exactly 
the way Dan described. You can easily step through the code, set 
breakpoints, watch variables etc. The experience was not so bad though I 
didn't test it extensively yet. At least better than using gdb from the 
console directly I think.
