Hi,

About future 2.0 : Tino Rachui, Florian Heckl and me are working on
several stoppers, and we are on a good way for locale, java thread and
(less sure keyboard). Just sound not working is a big problem. It was
perfectly working with Kevin Hendrick's plugin, but it doesn't anymore
with java media player (same problem for 1.1.4 ) . Don't know exactly
what happened, and the code is (IMHO) ok...

Just to make a point with future 1.1.5 :
I have partially tested P. Luby changes. Some of them are already
issued, and we found approximatively the same solution (berkeleydb, for
example) for some fixes. Some are interesting, but don't work completely
(like alias). Some work has still to be completed. Exactly, my actual
patch for 1.1.4 does 19kB while initial was 35kB.

It is important to note that *not all* the proposed changes, are (IMHO)
usefull for 1.1.5 and/or 2.0. For example, since Tino proposed a very
interessant change for locale, I think some tests have still to be made.
It doesn't make sense to integrate and reverse just after for a maybe
better solution.

macxjoin1153 was committed sometimes ago, and it's not yet fully
integrated, I know.

Why this delay ? I was in good way (most important work is done ), but
unfortunaly, I recently have broken a harddisk containing everything,
excepted the changes about macxjoin1153 I have written (Ufff..). So
nothing is lost, but I'll need sometimes to rebuild a buildable tree. I
do my best.

As a non sponsored volounteer, I use my own hardware for Linux PPC and
Mac OSX. One machine, two OS's. And sometimes, hardware breaks, sorry

Sure, if you think it's necessary to concentrate us on 1.1.5, I'm ok.

Last but not least : may you please change my rights for macxjoin1153,
I'm not sure I can commit nor addtask, nor add modules, because this is
not done with initial commit. Thank you :-)

Regards,
eric bachard
