So, I am one of the people working on the AMD64 port. It is in progress, and you can see all the patches in ooo-build (http://www.go-oo.org/). They are based on a snapshot of ooo64bit02 child workspace; the new patches are committed back there, filed in IssuedZilla, or are already integrated. 64bit OOo can currently start, you can write there, you can open a Word document, but not an OOo document; see http://blog.janik.cz/archives/2005-06-19T13_37_07.html for more. There is also a link to installation set there. What has to be done? - AMD64 bridge must be finished. It more or less works, but there are issues that do not show during normal OOo operation, only in a testsuite. I'm currently fixing them. - Fix registration of Java and Python modules. I'm building --without-java ATM and without Python. - Fix smaller bugs that appear here and there. - Get it all to the OOo cvs HEAD. You can follow the progress in Pavel Janik's and my blogs: http://blog.janik.cz/ http://artax.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~kendy/blog/ Regards, Jan
