This bug is with the HSQLDB. If you use Framemaker or another 
database via Base Base isn't affected. You have to distinguish 
between Base as a module which is the "outsourced" database 
connection that for a long time has been in SO and OOo and Base as 
a "stand alone" database when using the HSQLDB comming with OOo. 

And second this bug doesn't say a word about Mac OS X.
