Thank you for the lengthy explanation of what is needed.  However, if 
Gonzalo is building on Tiger, he will need the sal patches from 
macxjoin1153, as sal fixes idlc so it will build udkapi.  I discovered 
this with the November 2004 gcc 3.3 'fix' that Apple produced for 
Panther (10.3.8-9). 

Gonzalo will need all of the other patches you recommended.

Also, I will apologize sending the patch to the mailing list instead of 
directly sending it to Gonzalo.
