Open "International", add and change the charset you need. Works 
perfectly for me.

Maybe use :  fn-F1  (or remap Apple keyboard ;-)

To help you, there's a free to use application called fnSwitch, who 
permits you to swap hot and fn keys with Apple keyboard.

Here, you have a problem with stlport. Wich one are you using ? Internal 
(in the sources) or System (you own) ?

I have not this problem. Verified with m125 (Mac OS X 10.4.0 )
