Hi,

Using new hardware, I have installed Panther (aka Mac OS X10.3 ), and
have successfully build OOo1.1.5rc4, assuming an important compatibility
problem : these builds seems to be usable both in Panther (Mac OS X 10.3
) and Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) without apparent problem. I just have made
the following tests :

- network installation ;
- simple user installation ;
- verified Apple key can be used for shortcuts ;
- All wizards are working. Java demos ( Java clock , jpost, Glossary
...) are working too ;
- Sound is now working ;
- Scanner works (with SANE, even with network).

Better : testtools can be used for automated tests ;-)

Concerned locales are : ENUS, GER, FREN, JAPN, DUTCH, SPAN, TURK, THAI,
PORTBR, ITAL, KOREAN, CHINSIM and CHINTRAD.

Because we are not sure it works perfectly, and because new locales have
to be tested more deeply, I'll first upload, for tests, *only the
following locales* : fr, de, en-US, ja.

*Who* is interested to help for test them (fr, de, en-US and ja locales) ?

Last but not least, I propose to provide these builds directly packaged,
following the same idea I proposed for future 2.0.
For non available localisation strings, en-US will be default.

I hope the same will be possible for next 2.0. Work in progress. One
more time : feel free to help...

Regards,
eric bachard
