The CC wiki slowly gets better :-) This can be done using a Wiki Bot. I use pywikipediabot for these kinds of tasks. There is a Wiki Bot user that is used when there are lots of changes to be made., or you can use the pywikipediabot on your own user account. There are some differences between using a Wiki Bot account and your own. Basically the Wiki Bot user isn't restricted in what it can do... the User account is, and the record of changes is different between a Bot user and a regular user account.
