Which version of OOo is that?

IIRC on 1.1.x there is a program called jvmsetup for this (in the OOo
program directory). Warning: I'm not sure how well 1.1.x (or for that
matter XMerge) get along with JRE 1.5.

If you are using the version of OOo that came as part of FC3, please try
the support for that distro. AFAIK they ship a modified version of OOo,
which provides better integration with their distro, but may break
things in standard OOo, which add-ons rely on.

Some distros even ship OOo with all Java support removed. In that case
you need to download and install the version we offer on our mirror
network in order to use XMerge.
