I looked at the ODF_GRDDL_test zip.  Actually, our xforms work quite differently.  I posted some comparisons at

It seems there are advantages to both approaches.  I suggest you carefully poll any potential stakeholders, take a vote, then do whatever the hell you want :)

OO version 3.1.1 messes with my WinZip.  I used to be able to open odt, ods etc and add (replace) files with the GUI, now I have to "Check Out" then re-zip and rename the package.

Seeing how you handled the packages gave me an idea about passing parameters to Saxon (via the "Custom Properties", now that they are no longer limited to 4).  I'm sure this is an "issue" so I'll write a separate email.
