StarOffice/OO.o - Update

Dear Simon and All,

just saw a couple of Dutch emails today, and this reminded me that after
the *long* silence, it is time for me to give you an update of:

- what we have done so far
- what we need to do next.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the feedback provided on the
GUI translation! Alpha has implemented your suggestions as reported in
the templates you reviewed and based - as suggested from Simon - on
their best possible judgment.

Alpha is now working on completing the translation of the GUI and they
will deliver the complete translated files next week. As agreed at the
beginning of this project I / Sun will make you all the gsi files
available. In case you want you can build your first Dutch GUI version
yourself. However, I will also provide you with the first Dutch build as
well. This will be the first week in July.

I am sure that you'll all want to take a look or to test the build and I
would really appreciate your feedback. Are you available to work with us
on l10n testing? Our team in Prague would like to work with you on this
effort.

What else has been done so far? Alpha has finished translating the
samples and temples included in StarOffice and the base team is
currently creating them with the translation provided. Again, once ready
(approx. end of July), I will make sure you get them and again your
feedback on the samples and templates will be much appreciated.

In July, once the build is ready, we will start the translation of the
Online Help. I say, once the build is available because it really helps
during the translation to *see* the functions you are describing. As
agreed, I will deliver you approx. 9000 words of the Writer module and
the instructions on how to proceed.
