OO is sterk te verbeteren met ''oude software''

Ik ben een tamelijk tevreden gebruiker van OO. Hieronder volgt de tekst van een mail die ik onlangs naar Oracle en OO stuurde en mijn discussiepunten weergeeft.

Good morning,

I am a relatively satisfied user of Open Office. I took this ''adventure'' because I am used to a very userfriendly operating system and its belonging software -and detest Windows. 
I do see some of the characteristics of my favourite software back in the Open Office suite but OO is still not as userfriendly as what I am used to (I still use these ''ancient'' computers and the available software). 
I always wondered why no computercompany had a look at the heritage of a bunch of very clever developers in the UK (who were also responsible for the development of the ARM processor -I stood at its berth in Cambridge, watching the prototype working.

The O.S. is RISC OS, supplied in ROM (no virusproblems) works wit an ARM CPU and the software delivered with it:

Draw
Paint
Edit

Commercial software:
Artworks (redeveloped and available for the PC as Xara), better than Illustrator and OO's Draw
Impression (DTP with more possibilities that Quark at a tenth of the price)
Pipedream (a straightforward scientific spreadsheet/wordprocessor)

And many public domain utilities.

If Acorn computers would not have existed I would be a Mac-user.... 
I use my ordinary PC's merely for internet purposes and to convert Postscript files produced with my (multitasking) RISC PC.
Anyway, I hope you will forward this to your software development dept. and suggest they have a srious look at it.
