Re: [OOo-Hebrew] keeping he.OOo alive

OOo is a HUGE project, of millions of lines of c++/java/python/basic/* code.

it has been made by a commercial firm, taken over by sun microsystems, 
which donated the code to the community.

making it support hebrew took a few years of patching work, done at tkos 
by a group of talented professional engineers. yes, it costed money, 
provided by our government, and several firms, sun israel among them. 
(btw: i think sun deserved the effort to make he.OOo work on solaris too).

as you can see, the time taken from an universal OOo release until it's 
hebrew release went shorter, because most of the work has been already 
been done, remaining patch applying and resynchronizing. this action is 
not realy heavy programming.

while working to make the hebrew support, the few he.OOo workers 
couldn't probably invest the time, that would bring their changes in 
universal OOo. has this been done, this periodic repatching wouldn't be 
necessary anymore.

instead of complaining against people that have worked for our 
community, we should somehow rise the effort to finish their work, by 
breaking the code differences between the he and universal OOo in small 
logical segments, that would be easy to persuade the universal team to 
incorporate in the main release.

this done, future OOo will have hebrew support built in, and only newer 
features will still need development, possibly and hopefully again by tkos.

as of fund providers, hebrew speakers are the smallest right to left 
users community, with very rich people in the other communities too ;) .
