[OOo-Hebrew] font, size and style boxes freeze on the screen (OO 2.0 on Mandriva 2006)

I have installed Hebrew OO 2.0 on Mandriva Linux 2006.
In general it is working perfectly, but I have one *very major bug in Writer
*.
When I have a word or sentence highlighted (or stand with the cursor inside
a word) and then open one of the three pull-down boxes [font, fontsize,
style], very often after I click a choice, the box will stay open, "freeze"
on the screen. The only way to get it to disappear is to click the little
arrow next to the pull-down box, then click in the box. Anything
else doesn't help. It's just stuck there.....
It's a real nuicance and takes the fun out of working with Writer.

Is anyone familiar with this problem?
I never had any problem with Hebrew OO 1.1
