Congratulations to Ian for a most interesting talk, and the discussion 
afterwards was good too.

Those of you who were not there, or who had to leave early, missed a 
totally off-topic chat about martial arts in Japan after we finished 
discussing Ian's talk. That was fun, and a way for me to get to know a few 
of you a bit better. Being off-topic, that part of the talk didn't stay in 
the log, so I don't know what happened after I needed to leave.

I'm looking forward to Alexandro's talk, even if it is at 1 AM in eastern 
Australia. :-)  I know, we all have to take turns having meetings in the 
middle of the night.
