Been there.  Done that.  ;)  I've actually looked very closely at that 
page and many of the links -- several times.

What part should I be paying attention to for submitting corrections to 
localized text or updating my current copy of OOo to contain the latest 
changes in localization?

There is also now a mention of a Locale Data Audit on the l10n page, but 
no clue as to how to actually participate.
