I'm very concerned by what you have said in this thread, Sophie. I've  
been working to get my community to take the risk of participating  
and trust the overall project to respect our needs and skills.

As you say, if our users are let down by the overall project, we are  
the focus of their disappointment. It's a very difficult position.

I haven't encountered this in any other free-software project, so it  
can't be that hard to include the user base. For projects, the user  
base is their strength. They can't afford to disregard it.

With regard to the user survey, can we get access to the files and  
translate it, provide a localized version which would be activated by  
the use of a localized OpenOffice?
