If  I'm correctly understanding your guidelines, enter the following 
into cell H1 and copy it down into cells H2, H3, ...
=IF(A6<1000;QUOTIENT(A6;100);"Platinum")

My bad!  Obviously this should read
=IF(A1<1000;QUOTIENT(A1;100);"Platinum")
which is, of course equivalent to the solution provided by
Johnny Rosenberg
