Menu Edit - Find & Replace... Ctr + F
In that dialog, press "More options" and select "Regular expressions".
You may also press "Help" in order to read the Help files, in the Help
page look for "List of Regular Expressions", you see the list.

Now, it depends on what you're trying to do. Are you trying to remove
empty paragraphs? or you simply want to find the end of each paragraph?

To find empty paragraphs:  ^$
To find the end of the paragraph (the paragraph break): $

Copy in Calc and Paste Special in Writer.
Paste Special is menu Edit - Paste Special Ctr + Up + V
You can also press the drop-down arrow in the paste tool bar icon.
Try selecting "Formatted Text [RTF]" or "HTML", see which suits you.
