The message is simply saying your machine can't contact the server. Try pinging it (in a cmd.exe window, 'ping update36.services.openoffice.org'). The latest version, btw, is 3.3.0, or so the web site says, so why you 'know there's an update' to your existing 3.3, I'm not sure.
