You see I need to make working presentations using Impress which need to include audio clips to be played during the presentations, and I cannot figure out how to get rid of the audio clip icon that sits in the middle of the slides. In PowerPoint you could set this icon not to show during a slideshow but I have not figured out how to get rid of it in Impress yet. Also, I have not been able to see how to insert a text block in a slide yet. Any help would be golden!! > Zachariah A Lloyd My solution was to drag the icon off the viewable area of the screen. You can then leave the slide black to show a blank screen or add text. My version has 2 empty text boxes as the default new slide.
