i can't open .doc

Hello I hope u know what is ASUS TF101, the Transformer. It use Polaris Office, with .doc. I found your openoffice can't open that .doc file, it said "Read error, it's not a WinWord97 file" . But the file is able to open by microsoft WordPad!!
