which is what the plain text is for.

I suspect in general impossible.

However, an over-clever MUA just /might/ take the signature from the 
plain text and tag it onto on the html. But that's just a shot in the dark.

I'm not sure TB can send html-only emails, or I'd give it a whirl. (And 
I see your MUA, Mark, isn't plain sailing either :-) )
