Henri, to the best of my knowledge I sent my messages in plain text 
format, but I don't always pay attention to what Thunderbird does.  
Perhaps a "forward" strips even plain text of the usual notices at the 
bottom of an "original" or "reply" e-mail?  Who knows? -- Amy Lowenstein
