Hi All

Officially no, OOo won't be killed, and at present it's email lists have
moved to the apache hosted project. Unfortunately I do feel that it may
well be in mortal decline, largely due to Oracle's attitude whe they
took over SUn, and hence stewardship of OOo. The Libreoffice fork of OOo
is being developed at a much faster rate than OOo was/is. It would be
nice if the 2 camps could play nicely, although whilst Oracle retain the
ownership of the OOo trademark etc, I doubt this will happen. It's a
shame to see such a good project as this go the way it has, just because
of the politics involved, however, as Libreoffice has risen from those
ashes better and stronger, perhaps it will turn out to be a blessing in
disguise.

Cheers

Tony
