We had an informal one last Thursday to discuss the announcement by Edward =
Screven Oracle regarding Oracle's intentions for OOo. Nothing was concluded=
, as none of us has any special information.

From my perspective, the most important thing is to continue with the devel=
opment of OOo and the ODF so that the market and those who use and depend u=
pon the application are not disappointed.

Yes, I would be happy to. I'd be even happier to know what is really going =
on.

I have been acting as directly as possible, to preserve this project and it=
s community, and to ensure that its value is both appreciated and even grow=
s. But I just have zero real knowledge, though I do hope that changes Real =
Soon Now.

Regardless, I am quite optimistic that the outcome will be more than satisf=
actory and put OOo on truly solid ground=97not one based on rhetoric but co=
de  and community engagement, including that of the developers. But let's s=
ee=85.=20
