Ik kan geen Hoofddocument maken

Hallo.
Ik werk met Ubuntu 9.10 en OOo 3.1.1.
Ik probeer op de juiste manier een Hoofddocument aan te maken, dus via 
menu Bestand --> Verzenden. Dat lukt niet, ik krijg de melding ¨Het 
document kan niet worden gemaakt." Ik heb een bugreport ingediend maar 
vraag me wel af of dit echt een bug is of dat ik iets verkeerd doe.
Iemand een idee?
