You may put your own translated strings into a file
<OTRS_HOME>/Kernel/Language/de_custom.pm. Translations from this file
will overwrite the default translations during runtime and will also not
be overwritten during an upgrade of OTRS. As a template, please see
xx_Custom.pm.

Maybe these are old entries from 2.4.x? Can you give an example?
