Please provide more information:

One single server or DB on another?
What operating system?
Does this request take the same amount of time every time, if you run it 
2 or 3 times in a row?
Did you check your operating system monitoring tool to what happens when 
you run this query? CPU usage high? Disk latency? Swapping?
