I was totally unaware of this story. The first computers I touched, at school, were a ZX81, and later a TRS-80 Model I. According to Wikipedia, it ran at 1.78 MHz. I remember the vibrant graphical effects of games such as Dancing Demon (https://youtu.be/YNT7nVOugTM?t=49).
