Re: ParserException error (newbie question)

Thanks for your answer. It doesn't seem to work. I have tried both

$ java -classpath /usr/share/java/libhtmlparser.jar test_htmlparser.java

and

$ java -classpath .:/usr/share/java/libhtmlparser.jar test_htmlparser.java

Both of the commands result in the error message:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: 
test_htmlparser/java
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: test_htmlparser.java
	at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:217)
	at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
	at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205)
	at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321)
	at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:294)
	at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266)
Could not find the main class: test_htmlparser.java. Program will exit.

I have also tried to

$ export CLASSPATH=/usr/share/java/libhtmlparser.jar

and the compile and run the program with

$ javac test_htmlparser.java (which gives no errors)
$ java test_htmlparser

but I get the same error message as above...

Is there something else I can try?
