What is the question? You already print the typeid, so you know it's a
char or vector<char> in most cases.

Bigger question: What are you doing? Have a look at

      #include <boost/spirit/include/support_line_pos_iterator.hpp>

and

     #include <boost/spirit/repository/include/qi_iter_pos.hpp>
