Wait. Just that you hoped that it would do something else doesn't make
it unclear. To me those descriptions were never unclear.

The only thing I've ever managed to confuse here was `qi::hex` vs
`qi::xdigit`. It was late at night, and docs helped me out none-the-less.

Can you point out, specifically, what made you think anything would
parse an octet (apparently without specifying input format)?
